Charlotte Miller and her late husband, Fred, spent a lifetime in service to Christ’s churches here in the United States and around the world. After graduating from Lincoln Christian Seminary, they planted churches in New York, Vermont, and Connecticut. They established a training school for ministry interns and missionaries, some of whom served in the U.S. and others in Russia.
In cooperation with Ozark Christian College, Charlotte and Fred moved to London and from there helped supervise college-age missionary interns in England and Scotland. Fred was in demand as a speaker at mission gatherings in Ghana, Nigeria, Australia, Thailand, Philippines, and Puerto Rico.
Later in life, Charlotte and Fred returned to the U.S., serving churches in Florida, West Virginia, and Georgia.
During all these years of service, the Millers received only a meager salary. There was no health insurance, no retirement funds, and, unfortunately, no dental insurance.
No 88-year-old person should be caught in a tragic situation like this—but especially not a Christian widow who spent her life faithfully serving the Lord and His church.
Following Fred’s death, Charlotte’s children helped her move into an assisted living home and there became aware that their mother had not been receiving good quality dental care. They promptly arranged for her to see a dentist they had confidence in and were shocked when the dentist reported that many of her teeth were: “Severely decayed to the point where they have rotted down to the gum line and below. Some of her teeth can be saved, but at the same time there are a good number that have no hope. The hopeless teeth are in danger of causing an infection in the jaw bone and should be removed soon. Other teeth have large cavities but I feel have a reasonable hope of being restored.”

Therefore, KBF has informed Charlotte that we will pay up to $10,000 to help restore her teeth and preserve her health.
