For 35 years David Chapman preached for Christian Churches in Georgia, Tennessee and Florida. He led in the start of numerous new congregations as well as growing churches where he ministered. David served on a number of church affiliated boards and has preached revival meetings throughout the South. Born and raised in southern Illinois, David moved with his family to Georgia and graduated from Russell High School in East Point, Georgia. He is a graduate of Atlanta Christian College, but credits his father and father-in-law, who were both Christian Church ministers, with providing life examples of Christian Ministry.

In 1992 David founded Church Development Fund of Georgia and served as its president for four years until the one-state ministry was merged with CDF of California. David has since traveled the southern regions of the country helping churches with building projects and encouraging church growth. David has often said that one of his greatest joys in life was helping churches get from where they were to where they wanted to be. Retiring from CDF David then accepted a part time ministry with Kairos Benevolence Fund and enjoyed the privilege of helping ministers and missionaries in their time of need.

In January of 2022 David’s wife of 63 years. Gale Shepard Chapman, passed from this life to her eternal reward and David continues to live near family in Hartselle, Alabama.
