Alisa Johnston is fighting for her life! Five years ago she was diagnosed with the early stages of Melanoma. Since then, she has been involved in clinical trials and targeted protocols for her specific type of cancer in Houston, TX; Phoenix, AZ; San Diego, CA; and now Portland, OR.
In spite of these state-of-the-art medical treatments, the cancer has advanced to Stage 4.
As you can imagine, the cost of Alisa’s medical treatments has been enormous. Her family’s health care network has covered a portion of the costs, but their personal out-of-pocket medical expenses now exceed $100,000!
In addition, Alisa and her husband, Neil, have been responsible personally for the travel, housing, and living expenses at the various hospitals and treatment centers. Those costs have added up to an additional $20,000!
I don’t know how to say this any clearer … Alisa and Neil need your help!
Neil is a graduate of Puget Sound Christian College and Emmanuel Christian Seminary. Together, Neil and Alisa have served churches in Tennessee, Washington, and Oregon. In fact, this month they are celebrating 25 years of ministry with the Norkenzie Christian Church in Eugene, OR.
Neil and Alisa are faithful kingdom servants, but the physical, emotional, and financial burdens they are facing are overwhelming! They need help from their Christian family!

I shared Alisa’s need with KBF’s Leadership Team and they immediately authorized us to launch a campaign to raise $20,000.
I know $20,000 is a lot of money…but I read in the book of Acts that when any of the 1st century Christians were facing a need, the others “sold property and possessions to give to anyone who had need.” (Acts 2:45).
So, today I’m asking for your compassion and generosity on behalf of Alisa Johnston.
