Lindsey Jeffers is a Registered Nurse, Teacher, and Missionary serving the people of Liberia, West Africa. Last summer while she was on furlough in the US, driving to report to her supporting churches, her car caught fire and was completely destroyed.
By God’s grace, Lindsey escaped without injury. But now she faces a challenge she cannot overcome alone.
As an independent Missionary, Lindsey faithfully raises the monthly support needed to cover her basic living expenses in Liberia. There simply isn’t room in her budget to replace a vehicle after an unexpected tragedy.
Today we’re asking for your help in raising $10,000 to provide Lindsey with reliable transportation.
Lindsey first sensed God’s call to Liberia while attending church camp as a high school senior. She later earned her nursing degree and, in 2017, moved to Liberia to serve full-time. She started a medical clinic there, and began training other women to help meet the medical needs of the Liberian people.
In addition to her medical work, Lindsey helps lead the church her team established in Liberia. She runs a mission school for 350 children, an orphanage, and a youth ministry program for 100 students. In her spare time, she assists in setting up water-purification systems for the remote outlying villages.
Suffice it to say, Lindsey is a dedicated Kingdom servant!
Last year at ICOM we learned about Lindsey’s car fire. She was reluctant to ask for help, but she just doesn’t have other resources to turn to.
Lindsey is scheduled to return to the US within the next 30 days for a reporting trip to her supporting churches, but she currently has no vehicle to make that possible. That’s why we’re asking for your help today.
