Nicia Irwin is truly a faithful Kingdom servant! For more than 30 years, Nicia and her husband, Chris, served overseas as missionaries in Ecuador and Spain. Only in Heaven will we know the number of souls led to Christ by the faithful and sacrificial service of this missionary couple.
But today Nicia needs your help! Three years ago, Nicia began experiencing serious medical issues. Doctors thought medication would do the trick, but her symptoms continued to get worse. Finally the decision was made for surgery, and everything seemed to go well. However, just two days later, she was rushed back to the hospital with a severe infection (and possible sepsis).
More testing and CT scans revealed a deep-seated abscess. Another procedure was required in order to place a drain. Powerful IV antibiotics and an additional six-day stay in the hospital were required, followed by extended home-healthcare in order to ensure proper healing. Needless to say, this all came at a high price!
The timing for this couldn’t have been worse. Nicia and Chris had recently returned to the U.S. to lead a “start-up” ministry named EnterMission. And because finances were tight with this new ministry, Nicia didn’t have medical insurance. Their personal savings were depleted by the initial surgery, but they did not have funds to pay for the additional hospitalization and treatments required to treat the infection and post-surgical care.
During the past year, Nicia has worked hard to make payments to her medical providers. And, she has negotiated discounts for some of the expenses. But now, one of her bills has been turned over to a collection agency, and others are threatening to do the same.

We’ve collected copies of Nicia’s medical bills, so we know that if KBF’s ministry family would rally together and donate $16,807 … we could pay all the hospital and doctors … and satisfy the collection agency.
In Acts 2:44-45, Scripture tells us, “All the believers were together and had everything in common. They sold property and possessions to give to anyone who had need.”
